I have had this problem with Chrome for a while, where once I make a post, two submits will occur and two posts will appear in the thread. I delete the second one, but it's a pain in the rear. The reason I'm allowed to make more than one post after another like that is because I'm an admin, but if I wasn't, I'd get a message telling me that I can't make another post so soon.
SO, I'm wondering of other Chrome users experience this? I've had it happen both in Windows and Linux, and I'm not running a single extension, so I can't blame that. I love Chrome, but it's little things like that that bother me. That, and the WYS doesn't work as it's intended to.

I haven't had that problem. I had a problem a few nights ago where downloads would get stuck at 0% left to go. That was annoying.

My chrome problems are that of text overlay errors, delayed page renders and a number of web-app problems, but not double posting.

I've had that a lot as well, or other issues where source code will be displayed on the page. I don't seem to get that nearly as often in recent versions though.

Having this problem on other vBulletin forums now also. Guess it's not just us. I do blame Chrome, since I never ever had the issue with Firefox.

Ironically, doing a search for double post issues with chrome leads straight to this thread... or places selling toilet roll holders...
You using Chrome's built in web source viewer or something that reloads the page? Maybe the auto-refresh from one of the forum pages like with current members listing is causing the issue in another tab. Last edited by Tharic-Nar; 12-27-2010 at 08:30 PM. |

I am not using anything that I'm aware of. It's about as barebone a Chrome install as it can get. No extensions, nothing. I don't even have it customized that much, just for sync.

Does it happen when you're using quick reply, new reply or both?. Just fishing for ideas.

It could be quick reply, I'm not sure. Good idea though, I'll keep an eye out for it.

I use Chrome and it hasn't happened to me on forums. It does happen on Facebook though.

Glad I'm not alone, then. I wonder what the cause of it could be?
