Hmm. There's never been a Hyundai to catch my eye. Ever. But the Genesis Coupé really does have the right stuff. Despite the car being somewhat ugly (somewhat reminiscent of the Tiburon), it promises to offer a LOT of power for not much price. According to Autoblog's estimates, the 3.8-liter V6 model will push out a killer 310HP and run around $25,000. The sibling will hover around $20,000 and kick out 223HP, still incredibly respectable.
Though the interior is getting a lot of complaints... I guess the real question is, who cares? The car has (some) style, offers plenty of power and be released at a price that most people looking to purchase a new car can afford. I can picture it now... if the Genesis lives up to the hype, it's going to be hard to NOT see one on the street after launch. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/19/n...is-coupe-live/

My first car was a Hyundai. They will forever have a special place in my heart. This care looks a lot like the Tiburon (which was always over priced IMO) but it sounds like it has a little bit of pep as well.
They also offer an incredible warranty as well. My car is about to give up the ghost and I have been wanting a Mazda 3 or 6. Maybe I might test drive this car to for fun. Although, I don't think my car will make it to 2010.

Nice looking little coupe, don't know if I could fit in such a little thing these days let alone get in and out of one........
![]() It does seem to be priced right for the average Joe though.

What Hyundai was your first? I can picture you in one of these, but perhaps in black, not lipstick red ;-)

Humans will buy anything, if presented in the right way.
Look at KIA. After, for what seemed a year, they offered buy one get one free,,,, Oh Yes...some jumped on that one. And then there was the YUGO... Compared to a BIC lighter.....use and throw away. ![]() Merlin ![]()
