Default SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB

Has anyone at Techgage tested the SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB card? I can't find any reviews on it except at Newegg. Is it fairly new?

I'm not sure about that particular card (the cooling might be better than most other HD 4870 1GB's), but we've taken a look at Diamond's version of the card, in our comparison from two weeks ago:

If I can wrap up testing today, I'm going to publish a part 2, which follows-up using ATI's upcoming 8.12 drivers. There is a performance boost overall, but it still looks like NVIDIA is going to take the lead, in both performance and efficiency.
