1 - Gaming: I couldn't see myself gaming in front of a console and TV the same way as I do in front of a monitor. You just have a different sort of freedom in a PC environment with how the game looks and runs.
2 - Information: I'm not much of a reader, so the most information that can be jam packed into my mind in the shortest amount of words is great. All the information I've gathered from the internet would be stored in a couple hundred books, and the last time I read a book was... English 1 of my freshman year in college? Before that maybe 10th grade in High school?
3 - Online Shopping: Much more convenient to be lazy and look at things at your desk.
4 - Communication: Been able to meet some interesting people over the years that I wouldn't of dared talk to on the streets.
5 - Money?: Earning money for fixing peoples computer problems and building computers for people.
6 - Time Waster: Can never run out of things to do on the internet.

1 - Gaming. Greatest stress reliever ever invented.
2 - Connectivity. Computers and the internet have made it so much easier to connect with people you know. Totally revolutionized the idea of a pen pal.
3 - Information. People now have the world's information at our fingertips. Much easier than visiting a library.
4 - Shopping. Don't even have to leave the house to get any consumer good you desire.
5 - Online Banking. Who doesn't love paying their bills online?
6 - Entertainment. Pretty much any movie or TV show is available for streaming. The possibilities are endless.

4. Email. Seriously, Pony Express sucks.
5. Shopping. Coonecting to so many shops at one place, this is America's Super Mall!

1. Gaming - Gaming is a big one for me, growing up playing the early Nintendo consoles was amazing and all but I could never see myself going back to games from the 90's.

2. Communication/Social Networking - Another big one, I think deep down we all have a large amount of hate for facebook but I also have to admit I don't know what I'd do without it.

3. Buy/Sell/Trade - Kijiji, Craigslist, Ebay. A huge help for people who are as cheap as me and don't mind buying something second hand. It's like a pawn shop with a ba-jillion items. Plus I don't have to pay like 5 bucks for auto trader anymore..

4. Music/Movies - I haven't paid to see a movie in about 5 years, that's all I have to say.

5. Finding a Job - Very helpful for me, even when I got my first job I got it from finding it online through jobbank.gc.ca. Much better than running around and applying to places that probably aren't hiring anyway.

6. General Information - If you're like me, you question anything and everything. Now I can just Google it!

1. Research is so much faster and easier with the Internet.
2. Word processing on a PC is a vast improvement over a typewriter.
3. Cell phones sure beat having to find a pay phone when away from home.
4. Email is vastly superior to "snail mail".
5. Online shopping has opened up a whole new world of products and services.
6. Gaming, whether on a PC or console, has made extraordinary advances.

1)Games- Because PC gaming > console gaming. (mostly because I suck with joystick controls )

2) Buying stuff- Because why go outside when I can be lazy and stay at home?

3) Social Networking (Twitter, Steam, xFire...)- See previous description

4) YouTube- The biggest time killer on the internet.

5)Microsoft Word(or OpenOffice. Whatever floats your boat) Because I type faster than I write. (And I have terrible spelling)

6) The internets- Because how else am I going to attempt to win a $3000 gaming PC?

Great looking PC.

1. The ability to trade financial instruments form anywhere has been a life-altering development for me.

2. Instant communication with anyone, particularly my far-flung family.

3. Research anything, anytime. Inform yourself on any subject. Amaze your friends with how much you know.

4. On-line shopping through places like eBay and others. Save major money.

5. Be a better consumer. Check everything out before you buy.

6. Make your own views known where they matter. Opens new vistas for political action, or simply interaction with people on any subject that interests you.

What six aspects of computing and technology have made my life easier and more enjoyable?

1. Research - This is the thing that made the most improvement in my life,
as a student, i don't have to buy books, or go to libraries. And
making projects is a breeze.
2. Gaming - 2nd to research, gaming helped me stay entertained without going
out. Makes me feel safer at home too.
3. Socializing - I just recently got into socializing, but i shall say. It is convenient.
Keeping in touch with friends in the other side of the world has never
been easier and instant.
4. E-Shopping - What makes shopping in the web convenient? You don't have to go out,
waste gasoline, and get jammed into traffic, only to get disappointed with little
selection, and bad service. With e-shopping, i kind can find anything under the
click of a button! Now talking about convenience!
5. E-Banking and
paying bills - Banking can be risky, especially when depositing or withdrawing
large sums of money. You can get robbed out side of the bank! Paying bills can
be an arduous task especially if you have to pay on time! With the help
of the internet. I can do all of these in under a click of a button, in the safety of my
home.
6. Vacation planning - I couldn't imagine planning our vacation without a computer. Booking
Plane tickets, looking for accommodations, can be a pain in the ass
But with the computer, arrangements cost less. Also with the help of internet,
you can make long-distance call without spending a small fortune.
And of course, all of the best research for any vacation is done by
seeing what other people have to say about where you’re going.
Trust people’s reviews places like TripAdvisor, Yelp, or even Where’s Cool,
because user-generated content is becoming a bigger and bigger deal

Good luck everyone!

1 - Video Games. Unfortunately, I'm usually behind the curve with regards to the most up-to-date PC hardware (wink wink, nudge nudge) but that doesn't stop me from enjoying games that are a few years old. Thumbs up to PC gaming.

2 - Information. The internet has made both common and uncommon information easily accessible.

3 - Email. The days of awkward phone conversations are no more!

4 - Cell Phones. Need to make a call but can't get to a land line? Use a cell phone!

5 - Global Positioning System. My Tom Tom gets me safely to my destination.

6 - Calculator (an oldie but a goody). Without my trusty calculator, my job would be painfully more difficult than it currently is.
