Default Alan Wake Developer Recoups PC-related Costs in Two Days

Being a PC gamer is a great thing for a number of reasons, but one of the downsides is that we often feel the need to convince developers that our platform of choice is one worth supporting. Often, a developer has an excuse that the target audience isn't as large, or there are just limited resources. As a result, we often get the wrong end of the stick with our ports (if we get them at all) - there's a good reason "console port" has become ingrained in our language.

And being quickly replaced with "pc port"

Great news for Alan Wake developers and PC gaming fans everywhere. Not that it surprises us... or the companies that publicly speak against PC gaming, but privately read the same sales numbers we always did. It's just that the politics and lawyers dominate gaming studios and publishers PR and seems impossible for these companies to just admit upfront that development for the PC incurs on bigger costs and potentially a bigger risk. And they just want to ride on the easy street.
